TRANSPORT
Arrival from the airport:
Brussels International Airport is just 30 minutes by car or 20 minutes by train from the city center.
Taxis are available. A one-way fare from the airport to the city center is approximately 60 Euros.

Arrival by train:
Most trains arrive at Brussels South Station (Gare du Midi). The closest station to the meeting venue, Square, is Central station (Gare centrale).
Public transport within Brussels:
Brussels has a good network of buses, trams and subway trains, most of which are run by STIB (Société des Transports intercommunaux bruxellois) with a few also by De Lijn. The closest subway to the meeting center, Square, is Central station, just 3 minutes‚ walk (see
subway map here); the closest bus stops are Gare centrale (bus 52), Royale (buses
38, 95 and 71), Bozar (buses 38 and 71), and Madeleine (bus 52) and the closest tram stop is Royale/Koning (trams 92 and 93). You can purchase tickets for the public transport using a contactless bank card (debit or credit), smartphone or smartwatch. All buses, trams and metro stations have specific contactless payment devices.
hotels & flights
A minimum stay of 3 nights is requested between Monday 21 March and Friday 25 March. All the rates are per room per night, quoted in Euro and include the breakfast as well as the hotel service and city taxes. If available, discounted week-end rates (Friday & Saturday night) are specified in each hotel description.
invitation
It is the responsibility of each participant to check their visa and passport requirements. Participants requiring a visa should apply to the Belgian Consular office or Embassy in their own country. Please note the visa application procedure can take at least two months. The invitation letter can be directly downloaded via our website. Please note, requests for refunds of registration fees if a visa is refused will only be considered if an official document from the embassy is sent to the ISICEM secretariat showing that the visa was applied for in time and confirming that it could not be granted.
