HEALTH & SAFETY
((LAST UPDATED DECEMBER 7, 2022)

The 42nd ISICEM will be held in-person in Brussels, with health and safety protocols in place to meet all local regulations at the time of the meeting. Belgium is currently relaxing most of its restrictions, but as the measures listed below may still change at short notice, please check back regularly.

GENERAL MEASURES

  • The Covid Safe Ticket showing proof of vaccination or a negative test is no longer required for entrance to the venue.
  • The use of face-masks in the meeting venue is at the discretion of each individual.
  • You must not attend if you have any symptoms of Covid, have a positive Covid test, or have had recent close contact with a person who has or is suspected of being infected.

TRAVEL

For travel to and from Brussels, participants are advised to ensure that they have the correct coronavirus documents or tests and that they comply with all local regulations (including quarantine and testing when necessary) in Belgium during their stay and in their country of origin on their return. ISICEM is not responsible for any expenses involved in not having the correct documentation for travel, or in not respecting the regulations in place at the time of booking, during travel, or during the stay in the host country

It is not possible to list all the different requirements for every country and regulations can change at short notice. So, please check the latest official government information for your departure and arrival destinations before travelling. The latest information for travel to Belgium is available at: https://www.info-coronavirus.be/en/travels/. You should also check with your transport company (airline, train, ferry, coach, …) for any additional regulations. Information regarding the Belgian Embassy in your country or your country’s Embassy in Belgium is provided here.

Everyone arriving in Belgium from a very high risk country, must complete a Passenger Locator Form (available at the following link: https://www.info-coronavirus.be/en/plf/) prior to their arrival in Belgium. This will generate a QR code that will be sent to you by email and that you may need in order to travel. If you are not fully vaccinated, and depending on your country of origin, you may receive an SMS on arrival in Belgium with instructions related to testing and quarantine when necessary.
